Paul talks about not seeking advice from those who are not in tune with God. How can they advise you justly when they don’t know the God of Justice?
He goes on to talk about how our bodies should be treated. Yes, they are a temple for God, the residing place of His spirit. So we should treat them like it’s Jesus’ body, and not our own. We wouldn’t feed Jesus horrible food, we wouldn’t make Jesus be lazy and unhealthy. Likewise, we wouldn’t make Jesus be promiscuous, or harm himself.
this one sentence gets me: “Don’t you see that you can’t live however you please, squandering what God paid such a high price for?”
wow. if we remember the price with which we were bought, would it make us act differently?
“The physical part of you is not some piece of property belonging to the spiritual part of you. God owns the whole works. So let people see God in and through your body.”
