1st Corinthians 9

Paul talks about how he doesn’t get any sort of payback for preaching the Gospel. If he did, that would be reason for people to come against him. But his only payment is to rejoice about our salvation.

He also reminds us to “run the race” to win. We should live this life hard, to not be sloppy, but to run hard to God.

I think too often I get lazy and settled in life, and the day-to-day business, that I fail to remember why we are here, and what we are to be working towards. We need to wake everyday and figure out what God wants from us that day, and do it. Even if we are just moving closer into our relationship with Him, that’s something.

as a friend once said “A little bit more today than yesterday, a little bit more tomorrow than today.”
